Did you do the climate control? Did you keep the text because this is something i've never seen anyone pull of yet?

I am really impressed with both of paint jobs each of you did. I am still confused a bit as to what you did actually....is it simply a matter of spray painting the parts? What type of paint are you using? Clearcoat? Is there any sanding involved? Are there any long term ill effects? cracking?

No clear coat needed,It's a single stage paint.
I did not "spray paint" the parts
Used a pros tool and spray gun and got the paint color matched

It's all about knowig the right people.

Saw these tonight and they look pretty damn good. There's just a few minor imperfections that need to be addressed, but it is plastic, and it's hard to get perfect with paint.

ss metal flake paint.... guess you won't be doing much buffing then. you can still clear it if you really want some depth and protection.
Did you get the cig bezel off? if you haven't tried yet i would paint in place as i had to take apart the whole dash to do it right.
as for the climate control letters i VERY lightly sprayed over them(air brush worked good) in day light the letters are kinda faint as the letters were white to start and don't contrast the silver very well, but at night the light shines through well.
the arm rest inserts are a PITA too, because the tabs are very brittle and require alot of patients to get them off intact.

I like the way that looks!

Check with your painter friend to see how long you need to wait before buffing the paint. A good rubbing out will get rid of what little texture is left on the parts, making them glass smooth.

VERY well done, sir! Looks awesome. I'd love to do this to mine, but I'd have to find the right color. Like said, the Tan / Beige interior would need the perfect color to accentuate between it and the red exterior. Maybe just match it to the suede color. I saw a pretty well-done picture of that a few weeks ago, i think. Recolored most of the interior to a more light tan / cream color, looked good.

Good luck on the rest of it, XXL!
