Both Toms are good guys. ie: This past weekend when they looked at my SVX to figure out my weird hesitation. Got it diagnosed, worked on it, and fixed in under an hour. Just so I could have a smooth 6 hour drive back home. Thanks again Tom(s).

ps~ OT whendo you think you'll have the 20min/$20 mod stocked up again?

Well....Midaswell throw in my two cents.

My ebony is entirely the product of ot's genious and yt's hard work.

Basicly, the car began it's NEW life under the knife of yt. He had insisted that Earl have a working car for Reading, and my project car was the closest thing to it. In a matter of three days, the new tranny was in, he sourced a 4.11 rear diff and swapped over the carriers, changed rear hubs, bled brakes, and installed the special tranny resistor, poly rear diff bushings, and poly tranny mount. I turned the key the night before Reading...and it was a done deal...Earl had his ride.

The special tranny resistor was shipped directly from ot to get the project done right. Recently Ive bought the 20$20minute mod, and used the part numbers he discovered for the subframe spacer and poly sway bar bushings. It's a whole new animal all over again

Ive had the pleasure to work WITH yt on some projects...He is possibly the fastest, hardst working guy I've ever seen hold a wrench. Ask anyonw that's had work done, they drop the car off, then 2 days later it has a new everything. I also know he will take any measures to get a job done....Including towing cars, running to the junkyard for spare parts, or even something simple like working with the customer to figure out exactly how they want the clutch adjusted

And I know OT is just as dedicated. He could just as easilly tell people to piss off when they want something fixed during one of his meets...but he doesnt....He just grabs another mamossa and heads for the garage. both him and yt can be seen every Reading fixing something...weather it's a balljoint at midnight, in the rain...Or a front seal in the hot afternoon sun.

Guys...Keep up the fantastic work

OT has done a lot of work on my SVX. His prices are straight forward and very fair. He is always willing to work with anyone who needs help.

Especially if they bring some asti.

Thank you Tom..

...Also...thanks to all who have made a contribution to the SVX world. I'm proud to belong to this family of weirdos and their weird cars.

OT did an emergency 4.44 swap this summer after the dragon took a nice toll on my red car. It was the most last second thing I could have dropped on OT plate, but he did it (worked until 2 AM). I also just got the 5k HID's < people driving the opposite way

All I've got to say is I've been royaly screwed by mechanics in the past so I'm a little apprehensive about letting anyone fidged with my vehicles. I've met/hung out with the 2 Toms and I can truely say they are top notch. I know this thread is about Tom K.,but where you find him you find Tom J. They go hand in hand like orange juice and spoo. I've watched them together and I've never seen 2 people so in tune and out to help each other as these guys have done through the years. If I was to need any thing done to my little Peejie I know that I would have no second thoughts of calling the Toms and getting her better without breaking the bank. \~/ Cheers for the hard work and long hours dedicated!

My hat goes off to OT. He has been a great friend over the past 3 years. I knew that I could always call him if I ran into a jamb with something. He helped me out a few times when I was in Minnesota, which is why I could not help with the garage . OT and Lady Di have always been like family from the first time we meet.

YT, you totally rock too. Loaning me an SVX so I could make the last, and my first Reading. Way off the norm, thanks.

When I finally finish school this coming March, I will have time to spend with my car and my SVX family.

Steve

You know, I thought, when I first started reading here, that the 2 Toms were blood relations. The two get along quite well, and it shows in the idea sharing.

I see both thier shops as a franchise of each other, and an extension of the friendly atmosphere of this network. If I ever need something done to my SVX that I can't handle, I know who I'll call.

Yet more proof that Subaru is the only car that comes with friends.

Just catching this thread for the first time tonight ..

But that said, one must observe that there has been absolutely NO negatives mentioned re OT or YT. What a credit to two fine people. I certainly support every word typed previously in this thread. This is a tremendous club and OT and YT are truly two of the significant aspects of our "family".

Congrats, OT and YT - your reputations precede you!!!!!

Harry

Someone on OT's crew even recognized my forum avatar... Not only that, but OT didn't like... explode on me when I ordered a bunch of parts from him (usually with that being a "Oh I just remembered, do you have..." every other day).

So yeah. Congrats you guys... I think it's fair to say that you're a big part of what keeps us all on the road.
