yep, STi rods. I agree that the stock pistons should be good up to ~8psi based on OT's experience to date, I just want to have a little more insurance for those occasional "hard hits"

So, when is your engine going to be finished, now that you're teaching?

I think it's half and half on sicksubies lower boost. The better flowing cams certainly let him flow more air with less manifold pressure + he probably has a small air leak. His afr's still are leaner than I saw on my car but then I have the walboro and that could play into it to.

Anyway, I agree bill should use the pistons for forced induction for forced induction or the pistons for na for na--none of that stradling the fence stuff.

I meant we are flowing ssssooooo many more CFM's with the lower compression pistons... with the 9psi pulley sicksubie is seeing 6.5-7psi at WOT. It could be an air leak but his AFR's are telling me otherwise

The rings will be the same as the factory rings...litterally. CP isn't the supplier for the NA pistons. The supplier for my NA pistons gets the rings from the same Japanese vendor that subaru does.

I believe I did specify tool steel pins.

Weight? Well we don't know that until they are made. They will be lighter and better ballanced.

The design of the oiling and rings will be more like the forced induction pistons I got made before not like the factory design.

I did it right with the forced induction pistons, right? I imagine I'll do it right with the NA pistons.

Thanks.

Maybe in a few years... I think the engine will be due for a rebuild around 150,000 miles, and about another year and a bit is probably when that is gonna happen...

Depending on time frame for $$ and delivery of said parts, I'd be interested. Just starting a new job at a local Subaru dealership, and getting a major increase in pay.

I've just gotten a project '92 SVX and have all sorts of questions, and have a project budget in mind of ~10k in the next 18 months to spend on building the car for Open Road Racing.

Any and all help that I can get would be awesome, as I'm not well versed in SVX, or at least as much as I am in Forester information.

This is turning out to be a pretty hard winter. When my income picks back up I can be in again.

we should be able to get them then as well so no worries.

The number of people we get in now just determines the price for both now and then.
