****load of heat

I just remembered. On a cold ass day like today (in the tri state East Coast area), I was reminded that heat freely seeps through the vents. Not like a little heat, but enough to keep us nice n toasty warm while driving with the windows 1/4 way down. Is there something I can do to control this?

Oh, and the "Circ." button works, but it automatically shuts off after a set period of time since the heater or a/c aren't operating.

Well, I figured as much, but they're fine. It works normally until it "resets" itself after about 5 minutes. I hit the button again, and it's fine, but why does it keep resetting?

There is a self check mode for the climate control. It tests all the doors and modes of operation.

Check http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...limate+control

To check the codes:
1) Run the car until the engine is warmed up to at least 40°C/104°F then turn off the engine.
2) While holding both "AUTO" and "OFF" on the climate control system turn the key on.
3) Any codes detected will be shown on the temperature display.

The above is from http://svx-iw.com/

Actually, thanks to SVXRide, playing around with it today, I realized that the shutters behind the vents were stuck, or their motor was somehow busted. It's actually also the cause for the weird buzzing sound I've hand in my car since I got it. Originally, the car's been sitting around for about a year and a half before I bought it. Any idea on how much of a pain in the butt this is to fix?

Dunno, but worst case scenario it takes about an hour to take out the dash

This is normal; it'll only stay in CIRC mode for about 10 minutes.
