I actually have 2 identical fans on mine. I blame the previous owner(s).

But have they given you any problems?

PS: Why are they different? Most of the times they run together...

I believe one has 5 blades while the other has 6. I've never replaced mine but the holes for the bolts keep needing larger washers to hold them in place.

My one upper tab was almost gone so I took it off, and with the fan laying front down on a workbench, I made a mold with some aluminum foil and poured JB Weld to replace the tab. After leaving it set, I trimmed some of the excess and drilled a hole in the proper place and it's been holding nicely since. If you want you can hit it with rattlecan flat black and it won't even look out of place.

I have two identical fans on mine. I took the wrong one out of my mom's parts car. It works fine, but doesn't mount as easily. I haven't had a problem, but some day I'll swap it for the right one.

Is that more blades is Always better? Say, if one of the fans stopped working and I upgrade to a better and more powerful fan...would that cause any problem?

*better not happen*

I would say the more blades of the same size the better but I'm sure there's an optimal amount for airflow vs noise.
