How O2 sensors work
I was just wondering if anyone could explain exactly how O2 sensors work. I am running my car without the exhaust from the 3rd cat back and am getting a "check engine". The O2 sensors are plugged in but could this be setting off a code. Wouldnt the sensors only care about what is infront of them and not behind?

Is the CEL code for an O2 sensor?
