Pictures would help. Wild guess - somebody put brakes from another Subaru model on that car.

Those can't be stock calipers/caliper brackets on that car OR the caliper bracket was damged during the accident.

Here's a pic of a '92 Claret that was in a junk yard I visited last Friday:

And here's a pic of the painted stock calipers on my former '96 SVX:

Same location.

On the right/passenger side of the car they are at about 9:00, and on the left/drivers they are about 3:00.
Or do you mean something else?

And pictures would help alot.

All of my brakes are in the same location on all of the years that I have. They are the same as the cleret in the junk yard.

Very good point Tom. Depending on the side of the car you're on, the location of the brakes changes between 3:00 to 9:00.

i.e.

Driver's side front:

Passenger side front:

Why would you call the left side of the car the passenger side and the right side of the car the driver's side?

DOHH!
It must be a subliminal thing.
I'm always RIGHT, and I'm in the drivers seat.
And the Lady in the passenger seat leans to the left?

No, wait, I had assumed the car was on it's roof, after all, it was in the wrecking yard.

How was that?
