Thanks for all the great advice. It's programmed, I bought new batteries when the old ones go out since they are brand new too. I actually used electrical tape to fix the gap it clicks well but could be better. I tried using an old gameboy plastic game cover I cut off but it was too thick. I would like to know what piece of plastic you used and if I can get it somewhere.

How far away from the car can you use the remote? It seems to be about 10 ft.

Thanks again

I used a peice of plastic from my work and it was to thick so I just filed it down. I dont know where you can get it. At first my remote worked from about 50 ft or so then as the batterys wore down it is now about 10-15 ft. So maybe you should buy new batts.

Just a side note but thought you might like to know that I didnt have to reprogram when I accidently let the batts fall out of the remote. I also have disconnected car batt several times to clear some engine codes and still have not had to reprogram it. Dont know if you'll have the same results though.

+1 for KeylessRide remotes!

$39 plus shipping at www.keylessride.com

A few members have them (I have two) and I haven't heard anyone complain about them. They program just like the stock ones.

They're also slighty smaller, thinner and sexier than the stock ones.
