Subaru Legacy GT - 2006 Automobile Mag All-Star!

http://www.automobilemag.com/news/20...aru_legacy_as/

-Chike

P.S. I test drove one of these cars last weekend, and it definitely was an amazing performance sedan in all regards. The WRX TR is better choice for my needs at this time, but I'll be revisiting the Legacy in 3-4 years and possibly spring for a Spec B!!!

TOLD you guys I love the Legacy GT!

Anyone have an airborne pic of an SVX? Or should I even ask? I bet Chike is heading out to the car with wife and camera in hand to catch a pic

Nah... it might get dirty.... Chike will have none of that

I drove a Legacy GT with the stg. 2 Accessport maps today. Let me just say that that car beats the hell out of my WRX in just about every way. Its much faster, much much much more refined, has a nicer shift feel, better clutch feel and did I mention it goes like stink? 80mph comes before you realize it. With a stiffer suspension, intake and exhaust that car will beat nearly anything on the road. I don't think the WRX will be able to reach the level of this car until they finish the entirely new platform.

not only that, the 5EAT is SOOOO much better than the 4EAT we all know and love. the PRODRIVE-designed sportshift is great. it was sorta slow to upshift when i first got the car, but now that its broken in, it will upshift as fast or faster than anyone could in a manual when you get heavy on the accelerator. if you are just loping along, it will upshift a little slower, but that's a good thing when you're just cruising around.

springs, swaybars, UP/DP/stage2, performance pads, and SS brake lines go in this spring - i can't wait! then i'm done - i keep telling myself.

gimp - you get an Accessport yet? what have you done to the WRX?

i'm driving the 5-speed, too. i'm glad i got it, though - it really is nice. sitting in traffic in the tunnels on the way to work everyday reminds me i made the right decision. the 5MT LGT wasn't a consideration, because the other contender was the 6-speed....in the STi, but i have no regrets.

mod that WRX, you chicken****! at the very least, stage1 and an UP to lose the lag!
