Wooooo Wo!

Well they flushed the trans and had to replace a part (they said, not sure what yet) and they replaced the drivers rear wheel bearing. Wont do anything with the muffler rattle and it stops as soon as the car warms up. It's fixed under the Warranty.

Man I'm glad I found this forum so I had the sense to spend a little more for the peace of mind. The tranny may still go out but it will be covered. I have a tranny cooler at home with a fan on it. Guess I better see about getting it installed. Get the car back tonight.

Thanks again for everyone's input and this forum.

Nope, no Deductible because....

They sold the car with a warranty in the window for 1 month or 1000 miles and it list whats covered and you guessed it, they had no idea's what problems the SVX has. Man I'm glad they didnt find this site before I bought it. So they flushed the trans and put a new filter in. I also bought a 2yr 24 month that does have a 100.00 deductible. I be they are hoping the trans holds together for another 800 miles now.

I bought the trans cooler thru Summit for my Super Bee but ended up using a frame mount fin style, so I guess I will see if I can install this one on the SVX. Not sure if there will be enough room up under the DS fender there.

Here is a picture of what it looks like:

Well I'm going to try it

Hope it fits, been sitting on my bench for a year now, bout time I get some use for it.

Just going thru the quick mod list and seeing what I need to do to the car.
Can someone tell me about the altenator wiring upgrade? What does this really fix? I dont see any issues with charging or lights yet anyway.

Well I got the car back today,

They fixed the wheel bearing and the power steering leak. As for the trans well thats a different story. They say they flushed it, changed filter and added some kind of additive.
Ok, the trans shifts fine with no misses. Only problem and still a problem is when you let off the gas at speed it shakes the car. They told me to drive it awhile and see if it does away, my guess is it wont. Well not until the tranny goes out.

Is there something else I havent found out yet that can cause this?

Are the tires a matched set?

Try installing a fuse into the "FWD" slot in the fuse box by the battery and see if it goes away....

Sorry, havn't had time to look at it

Cousin passed away suddenly and I spent the weekend doing the funeral thing and then had to take the Harley out for the "Frost Your Nuts Ride" Lots 100's of bikes and was a blast watching the Boss Hoss bikes doing the burnouts.
And no I didnt frost them, I wore long underwear.

Will give it a shot and see what happens.

Oh well, :(

Putting the fuse in didnt make a differance. I unplugged the tranny resistor and that seemed to help some. Looks like I'm going to be bringing it back in for a trans.

Did the headlight mod last night from the how to docs... Man what a differance that makes.

Any thoughts about the Motor Mounts.?
Boxer design should counter the torque, but if the mounts are out, it could shake the car when you let off. What about if you nail it. Do you get any kind of lurch then?

Nope

Car shifts fine under power and rides great. Once you let off or hit your speed the car shutters. I unplugged the resister and it seems to have helped alittle but it still does it.

Does anyone know what it costs to have a trans pulled and rebuilt? I'm sure some of you guys have done this. Kinda curious
