He definately had a perma-smile for a bit afterwards as did Ride, Ron, Matt and John. I'm thinking lower 14s maybe upper 13s depending on the air temp and which tires we send her with. As for proof I think Chike does have the time slip in his locker and I could understand your questioning had he claimed a 14 second time but really...

Wish you could've made it Chike! Hope ya had fun in the land of pm thunderstorms though!!!
Ha ha ha! Yeah, there'll have to be a new slot for stripped-down non-street legal racers. One thing guys, my fastest 1/4 mile time w/ trap speed and a link to a pic of the slip is always in my sig. Either way, it's good that we now have a good group of SVX owners into drag racing and autox!

I definitely wish I could have made it. Vacation has been great so far and we're actually going through a pm thunderstorm as we speak!

I'm looking forward to being in the 14's when temps cool down again in a full interior trim, daily-driven SVX!

I can have an inspection sticker on it tomorrow. Really alls that it needs are a d. side mirror and bumper beams.

Maybe PA is flexibe, but in VA your steering wheel, lack of a dashboard as well as a fw other missing items would cause the car to fail inspection.

Either way, it'll be sweet if your stripped down light-weight racer can run low 14's in the 1/4. The fastest n/a time by the SVXrex was a 15.14 (in '04).

Terry never did complete his turbo SVX. He acquired most of the parts but never finished started the job. I asked him about it when we met tonight

Even though I think I had it in the bag, I may be resetting the record for shortest lived 5mt's as mine has developed a nice little gear grind into 2nd

Nice. Glad that rumor was put to rest. It was mentioned in passing by someone in an older thread and I e-mailed Terry to get verification - never got a response. Guess now we know. However, I heard there may still be a 12 sec SVX out there...

Anyone know if Dayle ever ran his stage II SVX at the dragstrip?

When i first saw one online (less than a year ago) i knew that would be my next car. It's just SOOO sexy! So i Googled "Subaru SVX for sale" and came up with about a dozen websites. On the second one i found my car, a '92 one-owner with 68K miles, maintained by a Subaru garage from day one, IMMACULATE, and only three hours away. Oh yeah, the good part...$2000!
Couldn't believe it. I've replaced both rear wheel bearings @ $250 per, and have been driving for about a month now with no reverse as i wait for my other gears to s**t the bed and i save my pennies for a new tranny, but i haven't regretted the purchase for a second. MY SVX ROCKS!!

I want to throw my hat in the ring for the highest speed SVX. I went 137 mph as indicated on the speedo in my '97 SVX.

I am also having the tranny rebuilt, this week, on my '92 SVX. The tranny is the original one. There are 142, 500+ miles on this car. So maybe I have the highest milage tranny. It may also be the logest lasting SVX tranny from 1992 to 2005. That's 13 years.

Give me a few weeks and I might make the list with "most expensive single repair job" - complete with receipt!

(But I'd be happy! )

Hmm... we hit 255km/hr (158mph) on the autobahn last summer (husband driving), and my hubby regularly goes over 230km/hr (143mph) when we're toodling along. Too bad I didn't have a camera handy.
