Hi,

I just moved from Evanston last year. What a great town! I stayed a few blocks away from Chicago and Main. Welcome to the Club!

Dings & Stuck CD Advice?

Any help? My needs are to fix, find the right shop to fix (or maybe join forces to barter time with one/some of you to address) the following:

1) Small paint chips on hood; chips/scratched paint on rear edge of spoiler;same on bumpers and trim; a couple of door dings. Any prob w/touch-up paint and careful compounding?

2) A few dings and slightly wavy lower door panel on passenger side.

3) A CD stuck in the player. Fix? Replace whole stereo? (Cash is low.) Problem could be that the car doesn't like John Hiatt?

4) Dumb Question: How do I know if my '95 SVX is an LS, LS-L, etc? (FYI gray cloth+vinyl interior; dash trim is fake-metal vs. fake wood (not that there's anything wrong with that...)

I'm a rookie trying not to mess-up posting etiquette here. Thanks.

Thanks, "Earth," but wait... the chart at www.svx-iw.com says the '95 L is FWD; mine's 4WD with gray vinyl & velour interior. Am I right in that being an LS?

Actually the L also came with AWD. If you see an error on svx-iw.com please use the feedback feature and I will correct it.

I'll try to offer feedback at the (Your? Wow) SVXipedia. But my knowledge is nil -- I don't even know if my seats are vinyl/cloth or vynl/velour!

FYI I went to my dealer's parts dept and popped my VIN# into the computer, which said my car could have been either a '94 LS or a '95 L! (It was sold as the latter.)

I've got your feedback Bob. I removed the FWD part as AWD was offered in the L model as part of the "Active Safety" package. Tell me if it looks correct now.
