No matter what you say, I'm never going to sell you either (my 93 AE or Gretzky rookie card); you'll have to (TRY TO) find your own
you know as sad and pathetic as this is, i was just driving along one day and for some reason it popped back into my head. Sorry didn't mean to beat a dead horse. Seems to have sprung back up very quickly though

I don't think I'd want a 93 because I wouldn't want to modify it and ruin it. That also makes it less fun. I guess I'm "5spoiled"

That's so true. I'm not going to do any mods to the 93, just original parts. For those of you with the ability, knowledge and desire to create, it's a totally different thing. In many ways, mods such as you have done make your car not only unique, but uniquely yours.

Exactly. I find it hard to just replace something without improving on it first.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Take all setbacks in stride for improvements

I kinda like having a 92. I can mod the absolute crap out of it, and I'll catch a lot less flak than if I started screwing with a "collectible"...

Also, I thought I heard somewhere that the 92s are either faster or have a higher top end or something. Can anyone shed some light on this?

In that case you would just need your 93 and another to play with.

Thats a myth....the 30 extra Hp the 92's had are a myth. All SVX's have the same specs.

I read (somewhere) that top speed was electronically limited on all SVX models except '92. If true, it's easy to see a "'92s are faster" legend growing from there.

This is correct. The 92 is missing the limiter. The limiter is for 240Kms(149MPH) instead of 260Kms(161MPH) on the 93 onwards I do believe.

The legend has nothing to do with top speeds as just about everyone knows about the governor. The legend states that the 92 models had an extra 30 hp hidden somewhere. This is why many people claim that their 92 feels faster. I think it is a load of crap cuz my 94 will still spank ur 92

I thought the "+30 horsepower" legend had to do with the POWER light...

I would like to dispell any mysteries about the "POWER" light....

It has nothing to do with the engine. All the power mode does is control the shift patterns of the transmission for the best performance. Nothing more... WHo woulda thunk it??
