Safe driving

I had to drive to Normal IL (about 150 miles from Chicago) today in the snow. Needless to say I nearly ran into the middle ditch twince times and nearly lost control of my car once with many cars in the middle ditches in the 150 miles trip back. I stopped and called for a tow truck for at least 4 of the guys stuck.

Guys if you are in the snowy areas, please drive slow and carefully. I had nightmares today driving back from Normal. Just in case, keep flares and charge up those cell phones.

The SVX's wide tires don't help it. But I do agree that it is a safe car. I found that while the SVX has the power to get me into trouble, it also has the ability to get me back out of it.

Now I'm driving the Justy - and it's a friggin' beast. Those narrow, deep-tread tires are killer.

Tread safely

I've been following your weather on the tube; be careful out there folks, especially with ice.

I live in colorado and have decided to put a switch so I can go 50/50 without putting the peddel to the metal. I had an incident yesterday comming down a small grade with a right turn at the bottom. With abs doing its thing I slowed down enough to power thru the turn but with 90/10 my ass end just whipped around and I came to a stop up against the snow bank,no damage that I can see. Anybody do that mod in snow country yet?

I was doing one day donut on snow too, but on a safe place. Just curious, what is 50/50 and what is 90/10 mods?

50/50 and 90/10 are the amount of power each wheels get. FW/RW ratio.

They are not mods. They are built in to the car. In my case, I get 100/0

Oh yeah, in 92, they made LS and LS-L no L

Just a thought
