SVX in Magazine

I went to Little Tokyo in Los Angeles CA, and spotted this magazine called J's Tipo Oct. issue. I found SVX in here! This magazine have featured SVX couple of times in the past, and I have another issue, but today, I would like to show some pages from Oct. issue. The rest of the pages are in my personal locker..under the SVX ads folder. I still have some articles about SVX from my old Japanese magazine, when I have time, I will post those..

heh. Anybody notice the driver's window switch is busted up? It's weird because they must use the same switch as us, even so the 'left' switch is wired to the 'right' window.

Look closer, the right switch has the "Auto" light on it... that's the one that opens the driver/right window. The passenger/left window switch is the one that's broken... which is surprisingly (not so much) just like my car.

Haha -
the 4 pictures there must be captioned;
-this is the busted ass POS window switch
-the radiator will crack right about here around 150k miles and spew coolant everywhere
-these hood struts are garbage, the hood will suddenly fall and cut off your noggin
-the headlights slowly encrust with a funk that can only be removed with a gritty polish

You are not so off, that last page I put was about buyer's guide. When you buy a used SVX, you should check those points,

-A/C Working or not, replacing it will cost $1300. Mine still working.

-P/W switch is fragile, could be broken. (Mine was.) Don't forget check!

-Headlight tend to become yellow. You have to replace it or polish. My SVX, only left side is getting yellowish! WHY??

-Plastic Radiator could be cracked. Mine is fine.

-Hood Struts tend to fail. Check. Mine happened so suddenly when I was servicing the engine room, my SVX almost ate me.

Prices?

Check out the numbers on the KStaff page. I reckon they are prices.

Read from the lowest, they are roughly 5000, 8000, 12000 and 18000 Euros. Add 20% for dollars.

Pretty pricey.

I've clicked into KStaff before and found some seriously high prices there.

This is at odds with the normal Japanese market. When these cars get past a certain age, say 96, last year of manufacture, and mileage is over 85000 kilometres, the SVX is practically given away in Japan. A '92 car with 60,000 miles is worth between 1000 and 2000 dollars if it has no Shaken [certificate of roadworthiness]
