Question Its an SVX, But its not

While searching on Google UK around to see if indeed the Euro-JDM spec SVX is indeed generally better than the US version I came across this interesting car.

http://findit.co.uk/cars/Subaru/classic/1354802.htm

Is this the same Legacy that the TT Legacy is based off of or something? I can barely find any information from US sites, let alone UK. So can you fill me in on what sort of Legacy it is? I think it has a 3L Flat Six.

Perhaps a car like this, if I find more, can have some useful parts to help out with the SVX, its something to think about. Or it can be just a normal Legacy or Outback with a different/fancy model name.

Heres another site that is selling one, I think it is the same one, it is at the bottom: http://www.carsource.co.uk/Subaru/SVX/used-london.htm .

There ya go. As far as I can tell, it basically the same car as the Outback 3.0R's we have here, just with a 6spd, much better suspension, and some other go-fast/look-fast bits.

Lightbulb

That's my local dealer.

I'm not sure why they would advertise that car as an SVX. Their service manager told me that they have never bought or sold an SVX.

Perhaps they think that somebody looking for an SVX might be tempted by this instead.

The car in the picture is the latest Legacy model, presumably one of the high-end versions judging by the 3.0 engine.

Phil.
