good job man. i totally know how u feel. i took a a salvation army 8i-11 basketball team and played in the local school league. most of the kids had horrible parents and the year before there coach left them. they didn't win a game. i found shattered peices of kids. parents never showed up to watch there games. I tought them 2 things basketball mechanics and self worth. I was proud to go 9-9 on the season and I cried when it was all over.

Thumbs up

That's awesome Matt! Obviously you're making a strong impression on the kids you teach.

Somethimes it helps us to see ourselves through others eyes to know if we are making an impression. That is great to hear. Keep up the great work.

i know its weared but i compare myself to the svx alot in the class, the hole under appreciated and hiden power thing. thats where they got the alcyone from. i curently have 113 students in the advanced wang chun class some of them are better than me. it may seem tacky but the philosphy of subaru parralels my own. balence, praticality and economy.

Khan do attitude

Good for you Matthew. And Patrick.

You are giving your students a philosophy that will see them a long way through the difficulties life will throw their way; self belief.

The whole Karate Kid thing is a little cliche'd because of the amount of syrup Hollywood ladles out with these movies. Just the same, the ideal that's put forward of learn to be better and to believe in yourself could not be bettered in anything you would care to read.

You guys keep up the good work.

Joe
