Another SVX in the family

Well I borrowed my parents truck to move all my stuff out of an apartment and into a house. This was the same time my dad went to pick up Mike's SVX.

Last night I returned the truck and picked up my car as well as see my dad's new car and hear stories of his trip.

He then tells me that my aunt (his sister) bought an eBay SVX.

eBay Link

She's supposed to be flying out soon to go get it. I wonder if she'll see any hurricanes along the way?

On a side note I'm trying some KVR Carbon Fiber brake pads on the front of my car. (Changed them last night as well)

Oh man, I remember that auction which just ended this week. I followed it all the way until the end, and remembered thinking that the person who won, got a really good deal!

Hope your aunt gets many years of happy motoring out of that car!

My semi-metallic pads are the same way under light braking...

Did you get their shims as well? I bought the shims from them as well (1 per pad) as I knew that the existing front pads had no shims...the previous owner was very cheap.

Very doubtful. I have no plans on attending the meet next year
I've enjoyed the meet the last 2 years but I would like to try a new meet next year.

Well my aunt's SVX made it from FL to St. Louis before the bearings gave out. (enough with the bearings already!!!!! )

She kept on until she made it home. Her comments on the car: fast! Endless power. Her current car is an Olds Intrigue.

My dad's comment on this SVX - It's completely stock and, aside from the bearings, is practically perfect. An awesome steal!

From the description I got though it sounds that the AWD might be slow to engage. (Spins the tires)

I'm going to take a look at it this weekend when I'm doing my suspension upgrade.
