resetting

so ive heard alot of talk about the 4EAT "learning" your driving habits, and im just wondering if i should disconnect the battery to reset the ECU so the car can learn my habits instead of sticking with the previous owners driving, also where can i find a webpage or a how-to on pulling codes.

the transmission doesn't learn your habits, there's no memory in the TCU.

The ECU does learn some habits, but it's just as easy to start driving whichever way and have it learn that, as to reset and then have it learn. I have been told about three full cold to hot cycles does the trick.

as to engine codes, look in the "How To" folder under engine, then codes. for tranny codes there's several places, a search would work, or if you want to download, look in my locker at part 1 of the tranny manual.
