I could do that in my old (rear engine) VW Vanagon but there are a couple little tricks... I wanted to build a stunt van out of it

STI FRONT PADS: $400+
STI FRONT ROTORS: $400+ each.

With prices like that, the braking BETTER BE PHENOMINAL!!!!

STi Greenstuff pads - $99

i would buy some ART cryo rotors for it if i had to, no matter how much $$$.

sometimes you gotta pay to play. it amazes me how people try to get cheap with their cars sometimes, buying used struts, rotors, etc.

Ugh. No crap about the dusting. When was the last time you bled your brakes? My SVX's braking is phenomenal.....

bled 'em about 4 months ago. SS brake hoses, ART rotors. phenomenal is a little subjective. compared to a Cavalier, yes, phenominal. compared to a car with REAL brakes, its OK. i guess the Porsche ruined my future braking expectations.

the Ultimate pads were a noticeable improvement - the initial bite is great, but i just can't deal with the dust.

i was reading about new Redstuff Ceramic pads and may try them. supposedly Greenstuff pads aren't good for Subaru rotor wear, and a new owner of the company brought about a re-formulation of the Greens.

It's not the cost that concerns me. I'm just saying for that price I would EXPECT great braking....it shouldn't be a surprise.

There was a point when I was trying to get the STi calipers custom fit to my SVX... Not anymore though... I was told that it wouldn't take much modification...
