Like the Jetta I saw today - white car with pale yellow body kit and light blue wing.

They may not be painted. I've seen unpainted parts in both yellow and light blue plastic.

What the problem here really is, is that these stupid ass 16 year olds get civics and **** for their first car, and they thing without knowing a damn thing about cars that its a race car, and instead of taking the civic back to the dealership like they should, they spend their whole summer's earnings on cheap body kits and huge wings. (For FWD, THATS JUST SO SAD). If they knew what real sports cars were the world wouldnt be full of CRAP. But locally i see these HORRID civics with loud exhaust, 4 different rims, and a giant wing, and for sale signs in the windows with extremely outrageous prices. Kids are dumb. Whats even worse is they bring that crap to the track and you have to sit through a few hours of the battle of the 17 second cars before anything good can get on the strip.

Reminds me of a car club sticker i saw on this accord..."RTS" supposed to mean "Racing Tight Stylez" according to the owner, but we had new banners made and when they were in school (back in highschool) we went out and put on banners that said " Running Twenty Seconds"

And we had some replica's of their original stickers made and put a few on my buddies 86 Honda, it was beat to hell, the look on those kid's faces was priceless when they pulled up to leave the parking lot and in front of them was one of their beloved stickers..

Sorry, Im a hater..

It's too bad that people(mostly kids) can't think for themselves. The watched The Fast and The Furious and the aftermarket industry flooded the market with all these products. Honestly, like Tancred said, Locally(everywhere), everyone is doing this.

Now, I've seen a few cars that actually looked good when done properly, but the physics won't help back up any potential reasoning for body kits and wings.

First, a huge front bumper/lip/fascia doesn't really help aerodynamics at all. It just causes more drag, thus slowing the overall speed.

Second, a wing on the trunk of a FWD car makes the car more loose than not having it at all. A simple front bumper lip is way more functional.

Finally, I did see some one who had it all backwards. They had painted their body kit the final color and had the car sanded down to the metal. That one I think beats them all. Pretty funny.

I've seen some that honestly have a bigger opening than most of our flower pots at the house. Some of those 'cannons' most be bigger than 8" in diameter! Good thing they're making the hp to have an exhaust that large...

lol, there is this article i had once, says when racing other rotary engine cars to downshift when you hear the shift up buzzer, and only shift up when your tach has wrapped clearly as far as it will go...LOL....15k is a good redline...i only drove mine to like 10-11....but i knew people who'd leave it in first and get on the highway, like 50mph in 1st...

Some of the higher pitched fart cans remind me of the gas powered RC plane I used to own. That, and gas powered weed-whackers!
