EBAY 1997 SVX LSI for Sale
Just wanted to mention there is a 1997 SVX for sale on E-Bay. But on closer inspection, the front grill is wrong. It has a earlier style grill on it, how can that be???? Does anyone know the answear?? Unless the orginal owner switched out the grill or that has been in an accident??? If I had the money I would be tempted to buy it, but I would have to check it out personally myself first.

I don't think it's a '97. If I remember correctly, there were only 4 colors in '97. They were black, red, green and burgundy (bordeaux pearl). I'll have to look in my 97 sales brochure tonight to verify that. The car on e-bay seems to be a teal color not green. Therefore, I doubt that it's a '97.

If they list the proper VIN, it comes up as a 1997. I checked it on the free carfax to see what it gave for information. It does have 7 records, but I couldn't check to see what they were.

It is most likely a unpainted re-VINed 96. Well, 97s are re-VINed 96es so it is likely that a polo green slip through.

I just talked to the seller about the grille being pre '97. He doesn't have any clue why the car has that grille on there. He said he had over 50 calls today about it... Might have been in a accident?? Something still doesn't seem right here...

The only work ever done to this car at a subaru dealer was the lubrication of the front door hinges.
It was originally sold by Armando's, a subaru dealer outside of Youngstown OH. They are one of the closest dealers to us, and are a good dealer. They sell many high end cars like BMW, Ferrari, and Porsche. Mike
