I'm afraid to show my face at the garage! I got brake pads and an engine cove the ACV, Fender, and bumper won't get here for a week I think. I was thinking if you haven't put on the tips maybe you should wait so they won't get painted all over.
Also I want to have my van towed but forgot the number for like the 30th time. And while were at it my Legacy is up for sched maintnenance, you think Roger wants the buisiness?

OK getting it back together. Last night I changed the Idle air vavle so no more CEL or funky idle. I also installed the slotted cross drilled rotors and new pads on rear bud found out that the front calipers where frozen solid. I was going to rebuild them but the pistons were pitted with rust and I couldn't even get one of them out. So now I'm looking for calipers. Tonight I played body man (which i'm not) and straitned the front of the car out and installed the new fender ( the bumper was still tacky) and put the lights and grill back on to line everything back up. Happily it all lines up better than it did even before the test drive incident, so I must have done something right. At this point all I really need are some front calipers so I can flush the braking system and do a 4wheel alinement, and the new wheels and tires. After that it can acctually be driven again so we can find out what else it needs.

How were you attempting to move the pistons??? Mine were rusty on the inside of the piston, but who cares, that doesn't really matter. I don't understand how they can be frozen solid.

Somehow the dust protector got ripped open and the car has been sitting for a long time so water got in the caliper and rusted the piston to the caliper.

Yay, finished the body work today by installing the new bumper and bolting the lights in. It finally looks like a mostly compleat car again, just have to keep it away from utility poles now. Oh ya, and I welded on the new ext. tips, looks good. Later this week I should have the new calipers so I can give it brakes and aline it. After that and the new wheels and tires it should be ready to rock. Altho I would really like to have fender liners in it first (hint, hint, just let me order thoes too, hint, hint) before it hits the road.
mirrors would be good too.

It drove down the road again tonight. Got the new calipers on and the new wheels an tires ( they look good), gave it an alingment, and took it for a test drive. It runs good except I think it needs to relearn it's idle, it kept wanting to stall. The tranny feels really good, shifts nice and crisp. Found out that it does need a right rear wheel bearing (yes Shane you were right), so i'm gona have to do that next, and the mirrors will be done tomorrow. Almost done.

Talking

Thats sweet I'm psyched right now seriously considering getting in the other car right now and driving to the garage just to admire the view. I loved the way the wheels looked with the ties on them I can't wait to see how they look on the car.
So it wanted to stall or it was stalling, how long to re-learn the idle.
I was going to head up tommorow and pay up for the stuff and paint.

So F'ing excited...where are my keys?

It did stall once. Bring your wheel centers I think they would look good too.

Money? Moneys good. Roger finally did up your parts bill it's around $580 a discount from $750. The body man says another $25 to do the mirrors so you owe him $175, and then there was someone else that needed payed? Oh ya, me, give me what ever you got left.

I weant and saw the car today and pay for the parts..Its beutiful, the wheels look sweet! the Last thing to do (for now of course) is putting the mirrors that are getting clear coated and the wheel bearing.
Subafreak is a genius so a big thanks goes to him since he put in like all of the wrench time.
The rims are 18 x 8.5 so the car won't be going lower since they stick out a little less than a 1/4 of an inch.

I'll get some more pictures of the car up soon.
