Windshield wiper spoiler things

Ok, where can i find the little spoiler things that attach to your windshield wipers? both mine, and my moms new SVXs the windshield wipers don't work hardly at all if you're going faster than 50 MPH. I searched for this and i found an old thread that talked about cleaning the windshield, and using rain-x and stuff like that but, i don't know where i can find the little spoiler thingies, (oh and my moms OUTBACK has them on it stock) thanks for any feedback.

you could order the stock wipers (i think only the drivers side has the little spoiler on it, but i could be wrong.) Pep Boys also sells the spoilers you can attach to the wiper , but they come in silver, red and blue metallic colors- you could paint them black to eliminate any rice effect.

I had the same broblem with the first pair I put on mine. Going down the road at 80 they would lift right off the windshield. I just got the lowest profile/ thinest ons I could find and they worked great.

I used to have this problem... Then I just went to the dealer and bought the real SVX wipers... Problem solved.

Regardless, your stock wipers will still lift off the windshield (in the winter postion) at 127 mph.

Benz Wipers

This is somewhat off-topic

Has anyone seen the new wipers that come on the higher-end mercedes? There are no separate pieces- it's one long piece of thick rubber with an integrated spoiler and a thin strip of metal running through the center. It looks like it should work really well, and it ought to stick to the windshield better than conventional wipers. I wonder if they could be modified to work on other cars?

Just a thought...

Oh, Audi has started using a similar design. I assume this design works at least as well as traditional wipers because one wouldn't want to be driving down the autobahn with crappy wipers while it's raining.

The BOSCH micro edge excels have a ton of 'holes' in the wiper frame, to eliminate drag... I have them and have not had any problems with them 'lifting', since the air goes right through them.

I use rain-X and not the wipers... SO...

I got a carbon fiber spoiler (black) that I got back in Singapore a couple of years back. Haven't installed yet. We'll see.

My uncle showed me once! They were not even on.
At 140 the side mirror flew off too.

I've had pretty decent luck with these too. No lifting until about 100 mph.
