e brake light on

I know when the e brake is on it should be on but the e brake is off and the light is still on, is there any other reasons it would do this? The car is a 1994 type L FWD
Thank you

Re: e brake light on

This happened to me before the rubber bladder inside the cap for the brake fluid pops out and triggers the light.

Re: e brake light on

check your fluid level and that the bladder is seated correctly. No grinding on the brakes?...no pulling to one side or the other when you stop?

Re: e brake light on

Low brake fluid will also trigger the light.

Re: e brake light on

Yeah, the old rubber bladder problem. If it is sticking out, push it back in. Sticking out triggers the low fluid light.
