rack and pinion

I have a rebuilt rack (non speed sensitive). I bought it on ebay over a year ago, never installed it. $50 + shipping.

Re: rack and pinion

I don't get the non-speed sensitive part. Isn't the original speed sensitive and wouldn't rebuilt be too?

LS-L and LSi SVXes got speed-sensitive, the others (L, LS, etc) did not. Dunno about non-US markets. So if your car came with speed-sensitive then you need a speed-sensitive replacement and if it didn't then you need the non-speed-sensitive rack

They are all speed sensitive. It's a matter of whether it's engine speed sensitive or vehicle speed sensitive. I'm guessing that when he says not speed sensitive he means the less advanced engine speed sensitive version.

I guess you could say that, but I usually think of them as speed-sensitive and rpm-sensitive.
