Radnor Hunt Concours d'Elegance

The Radnor concours d'elegance is coming up this weekend, with the car show on Sunday the 12th. This year will feature Pininfarina. There will be some wonderful cars on the grass. Hopefully the sun will stay in command.

I'll be judging the Veterans class, Veteran Packards and debuttante. Should be lots of fun. If you are in the Philadelphia area, this is a great concours to attend. The special interest parking lot usually has some cool stuff to look at as well.

If you are any where near the Philadelphia area, this is an opportunity to see a good 100 unusual and high quality rare cars. For me it will be a 2 hour drive, well worth it.

Hope to see some of you there!

regards

Re: Radnor Hunt Concours d'Elegance

The day started raining like a son of a gun. Even with that, 88 cars made it on to the field. Dr Simeone brought his 54 Ferrari 375 mm and his Alfa 2300c.

There were a host of other cool cars that you just had to appreciate. I judged the veteran class which included a 1900 Di Dion with a motor the size of a large tomato can. A buddy of mine brought his recently completed 1903 Oldsmobile Curved Dash. His goal is to have 1000 people drive or ride it in the next 10 years. Pretty cool stuff.

The last car is a 1960 DB-4 Lightweight GT that just days before finished a multi year restoration. It was flawless and spectacular.

regards
