You're forgetting that emissions crap we have here which the cheapest I've seen w/o being a Firestone or Monroe "coupon we'll get you for everything special" is $50 for both, even that to do the job right a shop is loosing money. I pay my inspection guy $60 or so and a case of beer (no receipt for the beer). I know I'll be paying twice that much to get the TVR through the first year (after that it'll be exempt and I don't care).
