Stainless steel brake HARD lines

Does anyone know if it's possible to get stainless steel hard lines? I need to replace one of my front lines, and I should re-do the hack job replacement some previous owner did of my rear lines. Factory replacements are actually not expensive at all, but it there are stainless available I'd like to pick up some and bend them to shape.

Re: Stainless steel brake HARD lines

Why not try coating the stock lines?

Re: Stainless steel brake HARD lines

Yes, they're rubber coated up about an inch before they end, but I have to replace a few of them, and I like stainless.

Re: Stainless steel brake HARD lines

Oh, well my replacement lines weren't coated because I just bought lenghts of line and made my own. They were galvanized though. I am thinking the ribber is GREAT as long as nothing gets underneath it, then all it does is hold moisture against the lines.

I was reffering to more or less buying bare lines and painting them with engine paint and clear coat.

Stainless anything isnt cheap

Re: Stainless steel brake HARD lines

Huzzah! Jegs sells straight lengths from 8-72" for $9-$30. What size lines and fittings does the SVX use?

Pretty sure i used 3/16's line with no issues. Advance auto sells line benders for like $5.

Re: Stainless steel brake HARD lines

Cool. I've got a bender already, so no issues there. And by "got" I mean I'll be borrowing it from a friend, likely for beer.
