Some new wheels

Gloss black powder coated 18" Nissan Murano wheels with 225/40/18 Falken Ziex 912's. Wishing I went with some 235's now but oh well. I have to finish the center caps, but this gives you the idea. What do you guys think of lowering the front 3/4" to match up the fender gap to the rear which sits perfect?

Re: Some new wheels

Nice looking, wish you never painted them, or painted them the same color as your car...

Good looking tho

Re: Some new wheels

Not bad. I prefer the normal silver color myself. It would look good lowering the front.

Are you rubbing wtih 235's? I had to raise the rear of my car all the way up to avoid rubbing when hitting large potholes.

Re: Some new wheels

I have 225's, but want 235's. No rub with the 225's.

Sorry, misread that. The offset is fairly low on these rims, so 235's would have a good chance of rubbing.

Re: Some new wheels

I always wondered what mine would look like black.
Of course on a Ebony, it would look....different

Re: Some new wheels

I think it would look better on an ebony. I think the wheels themselves came out just awesome, but on the car I am sort of in the middle. I got the powder coat for nearly nothing so I don't feel it was a waste, but the car needs something else to set it off.

Same here... I think it takes away from the black roof, whereas a lighter color would contrast the car better.

Re: Some new wheels

I like black if it has silver accents, but totally black looks odd to me. In my opinion, it is a fad that will look dated in a few years, but to each their own.

Re: Some new wheels

needs a silver or polished lip IMHO - i'm not a fan of all black wheels because then your tires look dirty unless you keep them clean all the time.
