Brake(!) Light - Window too

In the morning, when it's cold as hell, i start up my car and the Brake(!) light comes on. It doesn't come on in hte afternoon when it's warmer after my car sits in the parking lot all day, only when i come out at 6am and get in my car when it's 24 degrees. All my fluids are good and full. I'm curious if anyone can tell me why it's doing this?

Also, i went to my brother's resturante yesterday for lunch, and some shady guy was walking around the area(behind the store, no general traffic), so i locked my doors. When i came out after an hour or so, got in my car, and my driver side window would not go down. I'm not sure if the guy tried to slimjim it or something, but door handles work fine, lock works fine, my radio is still in the car, so i'm guessing if he tried, he failed. When i hit the button to roll down my window, it sounds like it try's to go down, but something is in the way, or blocking it. I'm not familiar with what the doors look like on hte inside, but i'm sure there's something if tried that may have broken.

Thanks in advance for the help guys. I'm really baffled on both issues. The car still runs perfectly fine with the brake light on, and i open my sunroof when i smoke, so i can get by, i just want to fix the issues.

As far as the window i would take the panel off the door and see if something is blocking it.

You could always pop the door panel off to see what might be stopping it from going down. It's pretty easy to get it off....just a few screws hiding in various places.

Yeah, i've taken many door panels off before, just wasn't sure how complicated this one was. Plus most that i've dealt with have a huge steel panel guarding you from getting easy access to the glass, and i wasn't sure if this was like that.

This one is pretty easy Jay. Once you take it off you can see everything behind the plastic. I believe there are 6 screws holding the door in. 3 underneath the felt in the pocket....2 in the front of the door that are visable...and then one underneath the door lever hidden by a piece of plastic.

Check the brake fluid and the underside of the cap. I live in Pa and when it's cold the window freezes shut. Check it when it's warmer.
