Triggered Alarm

Hi Guys This is alittle tricky.

I opened my trunk not realizing that my alarm system was on, Off it goes.

Since I still could not reprogram the alarm i calmly opened my door with the key and tried starting the car, I did not touch the security switch, but no effect. tried again, no effect.

Tried turning the ignition and turned security module off, no effect.

Had to disconnect battery as neighbors were complaining. Disconnected Module. Waited 15 minuted. reconnected battery only, no module. And - No effect.

I have My battery and module disconnected overnight. This has worked before. However What happens if it does not start tomorrow? Is there an override? What is the next best solution? Can i just trip a relay? Thanks guys. I searched hard and far and have no ansewr.

Disconnect the battery, turn on your ignition and turn on your Headlights.
This will instantly drain the circuit.
No need to wait more than the 1/2 second it takes for the lights to go off.
As far as the circuit goes, that's it.
Everything gets reset after that. It's a good way to clear your codes.

After almost an overnight reading of old threads, posts, DIY, Common sense , and dead flashligh batteries..... I jumpered the damed relay!!!!!

I would like to thank the acadamey.... hehe.. well, to all the people of the forum of thier skill and mastery. Also those in the very accurate tech posts in the past.

I would like to do a DIY to contribute for those who triggered thier alarm, not starting car, noobs with no tech lingo, and anything to override the relay in 10 minutes. Can someone teach me how to link and post pics or forward at least to post them? thanks...

Jeff
