clunking in 92 SVX front diff...help!

Hi there....I just picked up my 1992 SVX. After a new fuel pump and new brakes it was running an handling great, but only a few miles down the road I started hearing a loud clunk coming from the front differential that increases and decreases proportionally with speed. the half shafts are fine, and while observing the front diff with the car on a lift and in gear, I can see the pass half-shaft "jolt" every time this noise is heard. Any help or suggestions?

what earthworm said in the other thread might be true but first check to see if the pin is in the CV shaft. it is next to the diff and is in a small hole
