Power Windows/Moonroof Fuse/Relay!!!!

My power windows and moonroof stopped working. The power seats and locks are fine. I can't find a fuse or relay for either of these. Where should I look. I am getting frustrated fast!!

Fuse number 15 controls both the sunroof and the power windows. Its marked as "meter SRS Lamp" on your inside fuse panel. It's a 10 amp fuse.

I didn't mark it "meter SRS Lamp" so don't yell at me!!

I'll break out the service manual, and find the other incidentals. It'll take me a couple.

OK, typical troubleshooting here from the diagram in the FSM.

Fuse 15 feeds the actuator side of the Power window relay, with the real power to drive the windows etc., feeding straight off the Fusible link through the contact side of the PW relay.

Both fuse 15 and the fusible link are hooked in series with the sunroof switch, and both come directly before them. Fuse 15 through the small filament/relay actuator side, and the fusible link feeding through both the PW circuit breaker, then the high amp side of relay, then on to the sunroof switch.

That means it has to be either in the PW relay or PW circuit breaker since both systems are out on your car. The PW relay is underneith the driver's seat on a bracket along with the PW circuit breaker.

Thanks again. Is it true I have to remove the seat to get to them? What do I need to replace the relay.

I've never heard you have to remove the seat, but then I've never had to replace these items. (knock on wood.)

I've replaced the relay and circuit breaker. It's not hard. You have to remove the four bolts that hold the driver's seat in place. Then tilt the seat back. I used a short 2x4 to prop it up like that. The relay and circuit breaker are on a small bracket that is under the left, front corner of the seat. Actually, it's under the carpet. Use a voltmeter and see if you have power through the circuit. If you need more help, I can get the wire color info.

Thank you for the great information. I removed te seat, lifted thecarpet, and did have a bad relay. The circuit breaker was OK. I wrapped the new relay in a surgical glove in casr I get water on the floor again to prevent a reoccurance.
