Stuck CD in my stock CD player
Hi folks,
I guess this question might have been asked several times, and I have been searching all the forums, but haven't been able to find it so far. May be I'm not using the right keywords... anyways... I have a CD that got stuck in my Stock CD player (Panasonic) in my 94 SVX LS-L. When I switch on the CD-player, i see the LCD panel blinking "disc" and when I press the eject button, I can hear the player trying its best to eject, but the CD doesn't come out I heard that this is kinda common problem with stock CD players.. Would really appreciate any suggestions and/or pointers on how to fix this.... thanks, -Prash |

try disconnecting the battery for a minute and make sure the door is open to the stereo when you hook it back up. at least for me, everytime i disconnect my battery the cd starts ejecting into the door over and over again. stupid thing.

If you can hear it "trying" to eject, the trouble's probably in the internal mechanism and nothing you attempt is likely to cure an internal mechanical problem. You may have to resort to disassembly to get your disk back.

Is it a home-made cd with an adhesive label?

Same thing happened to me with a homemade CD. The label got warped from the heat and I couldn't eject it. I was able to get the CD out with a small pair of tweezers, but it was not fun. I have since banned all homemade CD's from my car.....unless they have no labels

I tried the battery suggestion, but no luck, so that might not be my problem...
And yeah, i saw that "how-to" on removing the stereo... so, dcb, i'm keeping that as the last shot, need to get some free weekend time too... Dave, i'll give the tweezer a shot... You guys are great !! |
