Thumbs up I have used one in my old vehicle...

I used to have an 86' 300zx turbo that I put one in. I personally thought that it made a difference. I know for sure that it increased my fuel mileage by 3-4 mpg. I could tell a difference in power also. But this is my opinion. I have been thinking about putting one in my SVX lately but I don't know if it will have the same effects. I might buy one just to find out.

Lightbulb It worked on my 300zx!

I tested it on my Z! And got 3 and sometimes 4 more mpg! It may not work for every car but it did do something for mine!

Tornado=big POS. My old boss was dumb enough to get one for his Camry. MPG dropped quiet a bit, and the car ran like crap, but it was fine again after he took it out. There are many, many better things you could spend $70 on for your SVX.

No, it didnt. You had a lighter foot, drove on the highway more, hit more green lights, turned the AC off more, and/or went up less hills, point being that there are many variables in driving. The Tornado doesnt do crap.

My mileage increased substantially after putting a gallon of xylene in the tank, but it's probably because I did all those things you just listed.

Why do we have to discuss these dumb things every six months?

And your background is what, exactly? I'm not trying to offend, I'd just like to know what kind of experience, beyond anecdotal, you have that makes you an expert.

People really will believe anything. 'Put this restriction in your intake and you'll have your cake and eat it, too!'

Puh-lease.

Phoenix, I'm really not trying to offend you - I just want to point out that maybe you don't have the expertise to make a statement like the one above.

ok maybe not "any car" but im not saying im an expert or i know what im talking about but you got to ask yourself why so many people im thinking truck owners because thats all ive seen them on trust these airiad throttle body spacers that look like they dont do crap....im not trying to say id use it or anything im just trying to help find answers, the best way to figure it out is go out and buy one and out it on your car and dyno it, till then and till its proved will i ever buy a piece of crap like that or believe that it doesent work, since at this time im not saying im gonna buy one or i think its crap

and yes people do buy into crap i strongly believe that people are getting dumb now days thinking these pills will make you lose 100 pounds in a day or these pop ups that give you free plasma tv's but id just like to see some research done on it

and dont tell me "well go out and buy one phoenix and tell us what it did" cuz im not but intil i see some proof it does something will i believe it works and until i see proof that it doesent work will i believe it doesent work and yes i do think its crap and i really dont think it works but im not gonna fully believe anything till its provin

http://www.airaid.com/spacers.asp

now if you dont have something constructive to say like "well you see the throttle body is closer to the combustion chamber or whatever" since you have "experience" to post

so if you ask me, me wanting research into it is nothing of being anecdotal
