Talking New tires. WOOHOO!!

Just got replacement Falken Ziex ZE512 tires. This is the second set that I have owned now and I will attest that Falken tires are awesome. I got them right before I headed out for the Reno Meet and while on my way, ran over a piece of 3 inch square tubing. No problems or damage what so ever. And a few nights ago I ran over a small tree stump in the middle of the road that was laying at the bottom of a hill(at night) and although there wasn't much tread left, held up.

Good tires but the tread wear is less than sufficient, 30k estimated mileage.

Congrats on the new tires.

How much tread do you think you left on the cement at the parking lot in lake tahoe?

I'm thinking that I left a good 500 miles worth up there. Not too impressive at the time, but I know now how to break her loose on the pavement.

JUnk tires are a huge problem, so I help out by reducing the number I create...

How?

Drive em till they're racing slicks

Congrats on your new tires.

I think for the money you can spent, falken 512 is pretty good for the performance:money ratio. I am thinking of getting falken 512 on my other car.......at size 205-55-15...only can get V rated.

By the way, what speed rated did you get for your falken 512? H or V rated? Are you at 225-50-16? How much you paid for a piece?

Specs for my tires are 205/55-R16 91V, so V rated and I paid about 100 per tire. Really sticky and good all around. I can't relate them to winter driving, but I'll know within the next two months, and I'll be looking forward to snow again.

OMG, Mitch! That is the first I'd seen of your mishap. That really stinks. Another reason why SUV's should be banned unless one can prove reason to own. Especially those Ford Explorer drivers. Leave it to one of them to do something like that to an SVX (right Kelli?)

Oh, and congrats on the new tires, Keith! Why the small size? Or is 205 a typo?

Johnny

I'm all for keeping SUV's off road where they belong.

Nice tires BTW.
