Well so far so good, the light works and so does the test
I guess if I'm pushing one day ,I'll know the light is a bad indicator to go by...

and someone is probably thinking right about now just FILL up.
then keeping track of mileage would be a pain..

LoL i was thinking on this one the other day. My Buick has all digital guages & if you fill it the fuel gauge bars go balnk... when you hit about 3/4 tank it reads FULL & if you hit 1/4 tank you are walking ( only let that happen once to me * three times to friends who where warned **
Now the SVX the light comes on around an 1/8 but it seems to glow brighter as the gauge dips down (anyone else notice that ?) And if I do wait till it hits the E it still only takes about 15 gallons to fill it. I'm not willing to run it under the E but love knowing i can.

I remember when I was driving Kurt's SVX, we filled it all the way up, and the gauge said 3/4 full. I thought the one in the Volare was bad until I drove a SVX.

I love Japanese precision.

Ron.
Seriously though, I do drive for almost two days when the light comes on. My light doesn't even come on till the gas hand is on or past the "E" line. The light starts by glowing slighly turning o and off then eventually glows solid! I just keep going... I hate filling the tank!

my old pearl car

the gauge worked great from Full till about 1/2
When I got about half a tank, the gauge would Plop
to E
Later on, kept driving.....and when I hit about 1/4 tank
it would start registering good again till the real E.
So it had like a flat area in the middle that wouldnt read
properly.
My sisters 94 does the same thing.
Cool thing is, I havent yet to see an SVX that low fuel
lite doesnt work. On all my cars it will even just start to
glow a little before it totally illuminates, and even then
I always have 2 gallons left.
Even better, theres a built in CHIME that comes on when
the lite comes on. Ive heard it a few times, pretty cool
if you happen to have the radio totally off
which is rare.....
