Trouble codes and Transmission Fluid

Have just replace a collision damage radiator....and now I need to figure out how much transmission fluid to put back in....i.e how to read the dipstick ....all those holes on the tranny dipstick are confusing......

With the engine warm I'm only showing fluid to the bottom 3/8" of the dipstick.....With engine running and warm...shouldn't the fluid reach the top most hole ??

Also my check engine light is on.....

Need to see what trouble codes the ECU is flashing....are the "test mode" connectors for the ECU in the driver's wheel well area ...same as on a 92 Legacy.

Is the proceedure for retreiving codes same as for a Legacy...i.e. connect the two black test mode connectors ...drive a few blocks and see what codes start to flash on the check engine light??

Check the level when the TRANNY is warm...not the engine.

For checking codes check out my web site:

All those holes

One side of the stick says "HOT" one side says "COLD"

The 2 low holes are for cold, the 2 high holes are for hot.

Check in park, engine running.
