Quick Help, Lateral link bolt?
The lateral link bolt in the rear, is the 7 or so inch long bolt that connects the 2 lateral links to the hub. Right? It also it typically welded to the hub even tho' the nut comes off pretty easy... I'm using air tools and the thing won't budge. PB Blaster and patience... maybe some breakfast or something.

sounds like it. Look at this link - are you talking the long outer bolt (#18)?
http://www.subaruparts.com/diag/?mod...ategory=201-A2 I don't remember the bolt being welded in, but then my memory isn't always trustworthy. The torque spec is 71-101 ft lbs. After it's been on there a while it will be hard to get loose. Again, going on my memory, I held one end with a breaker bar and let an impact work on the other for a blast that was about 20-30 seconds in length until it let go - and yes, I had coated it with PB first. best of luck. |
