Cheap and real solution for hood lifts
I found this at the local auto parts store today. I've installed it and it works fine and holds the hood up. Cost was less than $10.00. Only one needed.

 Will they fit on the trunk lifters as well?

I don't think you'll need them on the trunk. It's only purpose is to hold it up. The trunk lid doesn't fall down. It just reminds you how heavy it is when you close it.

Dang to late!
Darn, I already ordered a hood lift that was failing in my car from 1stsubaruparts.com, cost like $68.00 something. Oh well, what local auto parts store did you buy it at? I would not mind buying that just to help prolong my hood struts. Thanks.
