Help with non-start issue in Minneapolis

My very shy, socially anxious son is living in St. Paul and the '95 SVX LsL I gave him has been having starting problems. I'm hoping that someone on this forum might live in the area and be willing to help troubleshoot or suggest a place where he can take it to that really knows what they're doing with the car. I was out there a few weeks ago, measured battery drain at .08, disconnected an aftermarket CD changer and battery drain dropped to .04. Car was starting fine for a few weeks. Now it's having battery drain problem again, and he is saying to me "see dad, I told you so -- this starting problem can't be fixed." I would like to show him that it's just a matter of hunting down the problem and correcting it.

Re: Help with non-start issue in Minneapolis

On one of my 92's the problem was that the trunk light was staying on. I found it one day when I closed the trunk with the seat folded down.
Another common one is the wires running to the vanity lights on the sun visors. They break where the visor pivots and tilts.

Thank you, Blacky. I will have him check trunk light -- hadn't thought of that one. I did ask him to try disconnecting the visors if he is again seeing a drain on the multimeter.
