O/T Stock Trading

This is completely off topic here, but I'm sure there are a lot of level headed stock market savy members here.

I'm looking to get into the market but am not looking to do any high volume trading, just buy some stock in a certain company or two and see what they do. Does anyone have any recommendations for online stock trading companies? I've been to a couple websites, but many charge fees for a single trade that are higher than the stock i'm looking to purchase.

If anyone has any good brokerage type websites I may let some of you in on a little secret that will pay off by this time next year.

Just buy all you can of Lucent (LU). You can't lose.

Forget Lucent, Buy stock in my company. its not public yet, but I can cut you a great deal on some class A stock

Seriously, unless you have a lot of money to play with, you'll pay some sort of fees. I use Ameritrade for my stocks, I do a lot of speculating (and random picking) on "penny stocks" with better results than a lot of mutual funds I've had over the years. Its mostly for fun, I don't play our retirement funds, those are managed by someone else who lives for this kind of stuff.
