AMR coilovers finally installed.
Just picked-up my car this morning.
Drove it for a while to check it out. Then made an appointment for an alignment check. I have them set at 2 clicks up from full soft to help with letting them settle. Saw little to no nose dive under hard braking. I like it. Found out that I do have to replace the front sway bar end links though. Found them on Rock Auto so no biggie.

Re: AMR coilovers finally installed.
If I remember correctly, the AMR pieces don't allow the rear dampers to be adjusted without removing them from the car ?
Are they also only single adjustable? Thanks Bill

Re: AMR coilovers finally installed.
Well, the damping is adjustable by the top adjuster knobs.
But from what I can see, the top mount rubber bushings are pretty tight. The only way I can see to adjust height on the car would be to back off the spring pre-load, loosen the top nut and then turn the cartridge body in or out. Then tighten everything back up and check it. Kind of a hastle but oh well. The fronts are way easier since they have a top bearing instead of a bushing. Hope that helps.

Re: AMR coilovers finally installed.
So, the rear dampers have a knob to adjust the amount of damping provided? The problem we've always had with the Koni inserts in the rear is that you had to remove the entire strut to adjust the amount of damping.
Thanks Bill

Re: AMR coilovers finally installed.
Can you give any driving impressions for various conditions now that they have been installed a month? Also, a quick rundown how you configured your set?
I'm ready to buy my set and just looking for confirmation that the US assembled, superbly machined AMR is the correct choice..... |

Re: AMR coilovers finally installed.
So far I like the ride quality. A little stiffer but not harsh. I have the damping set at 2 clicks up from full "soft". I figured that would help it to settle.
I'm going to take it back in for height adjustment and alignment re-check pretty soon. Other than that, I'm very happy with them.
