Re: Your opinion

Assuming this fixes the head gaskets, what will you do with the distorted surfaces of our engine?

I don't see how this works especially that both surfaces on each side in the EG33 need actual machining.

Have you seen the vids of my engine resurfacing?

Re: Your opinion

Just another product that is a bandaid and will force you to need a complete block assembly once the bandaid falls off after a short while.

Re: Your opinion

i have rebuilt motors where the customer has tried products like this and the inside of the motor always looks terrible. if you could isolate it to the gasket area it might work but it coats your entire cooling system (and sometimes oiling system) of which the small leak area of the head gasket is a tiny percentage of the surface area. they usually end up with a rebuild, and new radiator and heater core when they could have just fixed the headgasket.

Re: Your opinion

Thanks! Just what I was thinking too. I also noticed that all the antifreeze people have stopped adding the stop leak to the product. I heard that it was sealing everything. Even stuff that should not be. . Always wondered how it would know what needed sealing
BTW I was not asking about it because I needed it. I just saw it in an add.

Both these guys are right. Please do not add coolant additives. You do not want to put a heater core in an SVX. In more than ten years experience as a technician, I have only seen this stuff temporarily repair a very small radiator or heater core leak TEMPORARILY. However, it required replacement of both heater core and radiator on each car, and the water pump. Once it is in the system you can't get it out.
