Thanks again for your input!

Would you have an estimate on how much replacing an Oring would typically cost?

Cheers,

Well that sounds strange mate, try the fuse to see if it is the same feeling. Though from the right verses left thing I don't know. It could be a half shaft joint problem in the rear.

The O ring, about 1 hour labour plus 1lt oil plus $2 O ring.

Harvey.

Remember, there is a description of the O ring replacement in the how-to locker. It's easy to do yourself.

Easy to say "put the fuse in". The nut biter that did the engine shampoo ripped the sticker off, incredibly enough.
Which fuse is it?

Thanks Boone, but I'm pretty hesitant - never touched the inside of a car before...

In the driver's side underhood fuse box there are 2 fuse positions by themselves at the front by the edge of the fender. One is filled one is not. The empty one is the FWD spot. It probably has grease in it. Fill it with a 10 amp and confirm that the FWD is lit in the gauge cluster.

nice pics, immortal

Hey, Boone, "driver's side" is the "other side" on Oz cars.
Were the underhood (bonnet) goodies also reversed?
If not, the gentleman's gonna stick a fuse in the air filter.

Ron.

Ticallion is from Ontario, as I remember we drive on the same side. I have no idea about the Aussie fuse box but I'd imagine the position is the same. (pass side) Fuse function is different 'tho.

That, my Canadian friend, is ABSOLUTELY hilarious.

Politically Incorrect, mind you, but nonetheless.
