Re: Cumberland AX schedule 2010

I'll definitely make it for some of these events.

Airport Icebreaker Autocross – May 15/16 (I may compete)

Cumberland Historics – June 5/6... Sports car show, bigger better AX for 'caged cars'. Banquet, lotsa stuff. (I really hope I can make it to this one again!)

Summer Sizzler Autocross– July 24-25 (I may compete)

Polish Mountain Hill Climb – August 6/7/8 (It will be tough but I'd like to make it to this one)

Pumpkin Carve Autocross – October 23/24 (I'll probably compete)

It all depends on my work situation and whether or not I can get away for those weekends. I always enjoy these events...and OT and Di's hospitality.

You are always welcome! I will bring the tools for the grill and some 'critters'.

Hey Jerry, what rules do they follow... Will I need a rollbar for the TVR or is the fibeglass a pillar considered enough with a hard hat?

This event is not really 'sanctioned'. It's kinda run what you bung.
We ain't 'rolled' nuthin yet.
Gotta have a cage to do the 'Bigger-Better' AX in June, but nothing really gonna keep you from the regular AX. The 'caged' AX only gets about 25 cars, and 'Historics' weekend is the only AX that has the 'caged' requirement.
Does not apply to the Saturday/ Sunday AX. That is only for the friday night session. Friday night, the course is well over 1.5 miles, speeds over 100 mph.

Re: Cumberland AX schedule 2010

I'm not racing. My car needs to see OT. I'll probably make an appearance. Don't know which day though.

For the 'historics' weekend, They are going to have a 'parade' of AXers from the airport to the Transportation Musium. (About 2 miles) There will be a car show, (of the AX cars) to raise some money for the musium. A lot of 'stuff' going on that night.June 5th.
