hesitation problem
Until I run my svx for about 10-15 minutes it has a pause. I hit the gas to the floor nothing. 3-4 seconds later...boom thrown back. I changed all belts. It is very strange. I have personally owned the car for 10 plus years. I don't think its the tranny it shifts smooth and reverse is fine. Timing chain? After it runs awhile it goes away. Any ideas?

Re: hesitation problem
The throttle position sensor could be a culprit, it tells the computer how far the throttle is pressed. You might also check the coolant temperature sensor, it detects how warm the engine is so the ECU can adjust mixture and timing. The mass airflow sensor detects the amount of air entering the engine and tells the ECU how much fuel to supply, so that could also be at fault but I think the majority here have seen stalling issues with that. Im sure something I havent thought of will be mentioned shortly, some of the other guys here are pros diagnosing the SVX.

Re: hesitation problem
Actually, I am seeing a mild case of something similar.
Engine starts and runs, put in gear, car goes, but is intermittently lethargic or eager to rev, and evens out as soon as the temperature comes up a bit. Maybe 5 minutes of driving... once warm no problem. I was trying to feel it out, and see if it was transmission or engine... but likely engine.
