pulled up at work and saw what i thought was an SVX at first sight because of the color, but wasnt too disappointed when i realized what it really was

lotus esprit:

he even parked next to a cart stall!!!

i dont understand why anyone with a car that nice would do that
cart damage FTL

That's hot. Had a buddy pull into a gas station today only to see the first 2009 Dodge Challenger in the state. Odd thing was it's owned by our vice principal from high school.

There was an old Esprit for sale locally for about a week... Saw it every day on my way to work... Haven't seen it recently though.... For $8k I am sure someone grabbed it up

I don't know what the deal was with the kids on NASIOC calling the Esprit "nothing special" and such. I can't think of the last time I saw one in person! The other day, I went to the track with a blue WRX, a blue WRX, and... a blue WRX. Who's yawning now?

The shop I bring my car to when all else fails regularly has (among other old school exotics) a Lotus Europa in the lot... weird thing, that is!

I'm actually starting an Esprit fund. I'm probably going to try and save up for one and sell the SVX to pick up a 93-94 S4, or an S4s.

I'll be a fair bit yet though. So no worries for now

My Alfa looks just like that, except it's white. A '91, with 96K miles. Everything, including the A/C works. When I go to events, it's a toss-up whether I take the SVX or the Alfa. They're getting rare out here, but I see another one at least once a week. Can't say that about SVXi, I've only seen two others on the road in the year I've had mine.
PS - Here are a couple of shots I took on the recent Alfa Club tour on the central coast. Tried to get some SVXi to join in, but no one seemed interested.

Those are cool cars too. Since I saw that one, Ive taken to the looks. You have a nice looking one, and its exactly like the one I saw. Though on that one, there was an aftermarket exhaust, I could see that. Wish I had one of those, and a 5 speed at that. Great taste in cars there sir!

You're silly, next to the cart stall is the safest spot

a. because other cars can only park by one side of your car decreasing your chance of door dings by 50%

b. People don't leave carts next to the stall they leave it next to whatever curb they parked next to. No one goes through the trouble of bringing their cart all the way to the stall just to leave it in the middle of the parking lot.

i usally just park in one of the end spots; which also reduces your chance of door dings by 50%

Kind of off topic, but before I had my bus license a friend and I were cruising around in an 80 pas. and I parked next to a cart stall with a roof thingy. There is like an extra 10 feet past the rear wheels and when I was leaving I turned too soon and starting dragging the entire stall lol It was hilarious, right in the mid afternoon and no one noticed I backed up a bit and she came loose and I drove off like nothing happened
