Okay , I got an idea... For you all !

Hi , It's been 2 years now that im with this car...And now's the time to do something a bit different I hope : I want to rebuild the whole engine ( cause the last time i've put 3000$ , the guy stole it with my money ... ) , Put a 6 speed and turbo charge it in the same week or two . I'm far away so , i'll go to somebody's place that has the equipment , and we'll do the job there. I can sleep in a motel or in my car . The members could come by , check or help us ! Of course , I'll pay the time or the job if needed , beers , pizzas , dancers .... even pompom girls ! BBQ party and things like that . Is anybody up for the chalenge. The thing is , My grand-father died before christmas , he have given me some cash and in the testament he said : Burn that on a dream ... And my dream is having The Car . I've got some drawings done for a FU*** Paint job after that and it's already paid ( some 5000$ ). My Grand-Father will see me from the sky ... help me do what I must Please !

Of course...

Yeah , i figure BUT ! Let's say 2 weeks. Tom just said in another thread that he rebuilded an engine in 5 h 00 ... ? So if some people take their summer vacation in the same time ... I would take them in the same time as them... I know it's a long shot but , I wanted to give the cash to some people that are in this club instead of giving that to Jonny no body. I've asked Subaru Performance north of Montréal and , it's in the 30,000$ project range ... For a rebuilt and a 6 spd , Turbo . They ask me 3 months.... so ... I think we can do a lot beter than that and , pus a lot more stuff : Vertical doors , neons , ect...

well i think you need to come up with a list of exactly what you want on your car.... then scrach off neons.. cause thats kinda tacky these days... start researching if it can be done.... what parts you will use and how you will do it... there are super charger kits and turbo kits avalible for this car... then build... i personaly would love to help but its something i could only spare time on in the summer for

The engine rebuild if done right will take more than 2 weeks...

I'd suggest finding a low mileage engine, and the 6 speed tranny, and all the parts that you're going to need in advance, have them shipped to whomever is going to do the work, then once all the parts are gathered, set up a date to get the engine/tranny swapped in.

Doing it that way should allow it to be done in a weekend if everything goes smoothly.

But if you're motor is good, just have the basic seals changed and save yourself a lot of money.....maybe to put toward a Stage III kit

Just my thoughts on it.

- Yeah , the motor is good , no blue smoke.
- I can have all the things that I need since it's been over a year minimum that i'm in this forum. So , I know of Subaru SVX Wharehouse , found a 6 spd tranny here at 100 km from me .
- All I need is a place , and people ....
- The choice is Turbo just for the sound , Don't want to crash my face in a tree , just want the '' Pishhhhhh '' Bov ...
- It is for the summer so more people I'll be able to meet from the forum ! After that i'll know whom I'm talking to ...

Can't you buy that cheesy little tailpipe gismo to give you the turbo sound.

Cause if you don't want the power, that could be a very good test.

But then that would make the neon lights look classy.

got your PM... No chance in hell this could be done in 2 weeks. If that were to happen I know two other people that would need to be hired. It would still take a lot of time and preperation... I would say that you are looking at close to $20k to get this "started"

With that kind of money on the table, why not have Tom build the 5-speed Pearly he's got fro sale for you, then you could just come pick it up when it's done, and take it to be painted, all the while you could still drive your current SVX while all the work was being done....
